We need to talk.
You're (probably) neglecting to develop the most important skill you can master as an entrepreneur...
But it's not your fault - it's a skill that is rarely talked about.
That skill is decision making.
And the reason it's rarely talked about is because people don't even think of it as a skill.
Most people think of decision making simply as something you just do - sometimes you'll get them right, sometimes you'll get them wrong.
It's often assumed successful people have just made more of the 'right decisions'.
But the reality is, successful people often make more wrong decisions than right decisions.
The difference is, they took the time to master how to make decisions.
That is why they're successful.
As an entrepreneur, you will be responsible for making decisions every single day.
Some will be small, pose low risk, and have minor consequences...
While others will be huge, and transform the entire trajectory of your business so deeply that it could be the difference between thriving or shutting down.
Unsuccessful people:
» Make few decisions, and make them slowly.
» Procrastinate difficult decisions.
» Fear being wrong, so will make no choice at all.
» Will always choose the option with less risk - fear clouds their judgement.
» Don't trust their instincts.
» Try to gather all the information before making a decision.
» Will take advice from the wrong people.
» Will wait for 100% certainty to act.
Successful people:
» Make a lot of decisions, and make them quickly.
» Seek out large or difficult decisions knowing they have the highest returns.
» Have no fear of being 'wrong'.
» Will not let risk sway them - they know risk is necessary for success.
» Trust their instincts.
» Will only gather just enough information to make an educated decision.
» Will only take advice from the most experienced people.
» Understands they can never have 100% certainty in a decision.
Decision making is not a skill you will master quickly.
The ability to make high-risk decisions quickly, without 100% certainty, and with a willingness to be 'wrong', is certainly not an easy one to master.
Every successful person on this planet has dedicated themselves to mastering this art...
And when you do the same, success is inevitable.
By the time an unsuccessful person has finally made a few decisions, you'll already be 100 steps ahead.
Here's the bad news though...
The only way to master it is by going through the fire and making those tough decisions.
Some decisions you make will be 'right'.
Some decisions you make will be 'wrong'.
But you will be training yourself to think, act, and decide, like the version of you that is confident and fearless. With every move you make, you will be creating the life you know you deserve.
